A:  Yes, constant investigation. Usually his opening 
question would very often be, what have you 
learned since we last met? Very intimidating 
question, and you kind of had to get over the 
intimidation and say well, this is what I learned. 
And he would say, “Oh well, of course,” and then 
come up with a little statement. I built that little 
habit into the Heritage Minute   where I have a 
student in a seminar around 1951 saying to him: 
“Are you saying to us that the medium is more 
important than the message?” and having him say:
